  2008 Youth Employment Program

The 2008 Youth Employment Program began on January 14, 2008 and ran until June 14, 2008. Working under Jane Brenner, the Program Director, were James Stuckart (Program Coordinator), and Christy Kinniburgh (Facilitator).

The program was intended to help youth between the ages of 15-30, that are facing employment barriers, to gain meaningful employment.
Only 15 places were offered and over 30 students applied for the program.

The program was broken into three phases and covered a wide range of employment and training courses, workshops, seminars and employment opportunities.

The Government of Canada was the sponsor for the program and the students received funding while they were in the course.
There was also a $500 bonus for each student that successfully completed the program!

The Youth Employment Program is funded and supported by the Government of Canada
The operating organization of the program is the Taber and District Community Adult Learning Association.
