About Us
The Taber Adult Learning Association believes that
learning is a valuable and lifelong process
and that everyone should have opportunities
to access and share learning experiences.
This page was developed to provide you with easy-to-access
information about our programs, courses and upcoming events,
plus many other things.
The Taber and District Community Adult Learning Association (TDCALA)
was first organized in 1972 when Taber School Division responded to
the correspondence from Advanced Education.
The first "Further Education Council" was organized on behalf of the
Taber School Division by Jack Herman and Jean Stone in 1974.
In 1994 the Further Education Program was renamed "Community Adult
Learning Program". Over the years, adult Albertans in our community
have developed a strong commitment to community adult learning
initiatives with thousands of adults accessing learning opportunities
each year.
